How many crabs do I have???

Some people ask me how many crabs that I have. As of today (5/9/07) I have 12 crabs. Most of their pictures are posted here, and some have gone to crab heaven. You can pretty much guess by their names if they are male or female. The names of my current crabs are as follows: Beans, Hillary, Stewart (actually female), Miss Jinx, Brownie, Lemon Drop Martini, Gladys Knight, USA, Brain, Beast Master, Heart and Cinnomin. Beans is the meanest and Stewart is the friendliest.

I love hermies! i have only 3 though. one of mine (tom) just died so im sad. but i have a really small one named shea, a medium one named cotton candy, and a huge one named eve. i need a cage like yours but i gotta save up.

Hey, I don't know if this is still active. Thought I'd give it a go. I just got 3 ickle hermit crabs, I've got the basics down (humidity, temp, spare shells etc) just wondered if you had any "top tips" you wouldn't mind sharing please.

well me and my brother have 11 total in a 10 gallon tank and there perfectly fine.

Sorry for this delayed reply dixie!

However, hermit crabs ARE social by nature, so, the more crabs you have... the better! (Depending on the size of your crabitat of course!)

Hermits do make sounds! It sounds like a bit of a "croak". Ive observed this with my crabs if one is teasing another, or sitting on its back or if it does not want to be picked up.
