First, I think your site is amazing...I just previously purchased a hermit crab within the last two months, I moved him into a larger tank and as soon as I did he changed shells...I have been really concerned about what to feed him as I have been giving him CRABWORKS..Hermit crab pellets...He don't eat a whole lot so I decided to go buy some dried fruit rasins,pineapple, apricots, cranberries, pears & peaches etc. Is it safe for him to be eating these things? I have also read that alot of people feed their crabbies peanut butter is that fine too?
Wow.. thanks for the great compliment! I also give my crabs a dried fruit mix that I've found in pet stores. I have also given them peanut butter - but beware, it CAN make a mess! If it gets on their legs and then they go through the sand, it has a tendancy to build up on their legs. So I would suggest only giving them a very small amount, like the size of a pencil eraser!
