Bath Time!

The hermies getting their bi-weekly bath! Ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh, yeah.. that feels good!

is city water okay for crabs. because igave my crab city water for a relly long time. then his gills got red and he died?

Well... from what I have researched you should use non-chlorinated luke-warm water. Thats what I use.

i was wondering how often and how to give my crabs a bath. also i spilled some water in my crabs cage is that all right or should i change the sand in the cage

When I am using sand as a substrate for my crabs, I give them a bath at least once a month or so to help them get sand particles out of their shells. If you spill water in your tank when you have sand i know its a mess. It creates lumpy sand. Actually, my crabs love the lumpy sand because its nice for them to build tunnels. However, if your sand is totally drenched in sand it may be a good time to do a thourough cleaning and give them some fresh sand. This is just my suggestion. I am not an expert...

make sure that you dont fill the bucket up with tons of water because if to much water gets in the shell it fills up and they drownd i always fill the bowl up to 2 cm. and dunk em then take them out and rub them with a sponge also there cage needs mosirue so get a spray bottle and spray each wall dont forget to keep a sponge in there for them to climb on and dring from
