is city water okay for crabs. because igave my crab city water for a relly long time. then his gills got red and he died?
Well... from what I have researched you should use non-chlorinated luke-warm water. Thats what I use.
i was wondering how often and how to give my crabs a bath. also i spilled some water in my crabs cage is that all right or should i change the sand in the cage
When I am using sand as a substrate for my crabs, I give them a bath at least once a month or so to help them get sand particles out of their shells. If you spill water in your tank when you have sand i know its a mess. It creates lumpy sand. Actually, my crabs love the lumpy sand because its nice for them to build tunnels. However, if your sand is totally drenched in sand it may be a good time to do a thourough cleaning and give them some fresh sand. This is just my suggestion. I am not an expert...
