Isolation can be so lonely....

Here is Beans in his isolation tank. After molting hermit crabs are very soft and squishy and vulnerable to becoming a snack to fellow co-crab-itators. He will be left in isolation until he finishes eating his molted skin which hermit crabs do to regain nutrients after the tiring process. Posted by Picasa

Hi weemer! I've read on other websites ideas of what you can do! You can cut a plastic 1 gallon milk jug in half and clean it VERY good - using the piece with the pour hole in it - place it over your crab for protection. You will also want to give yourself enough room for food and water in there too! This should help and its only temporary!
