Handle with care!
Some resources I have read say that hermit crabs do not want to be messed with or picked up, while others say that by handeling your crabs you earn their trust! I dont know which to beleive, but in this picture, Guatamala balances on my thumb. He didnt mind being handled, but Beans does NOT like to be messed with. I have been pinched by him three times now.

does being pinched hurt? i really don't want to find out for myself... my crabs are very good so if i really wanted to know, i would have to mess with them. :(
Well, i guess it does hurt a tad. I have been pinched multiple times now. Once it drew blood. However, its not a pain that lasts forever. If you have NOT been pinched then good for you!!! Yay!!!!
yeah i have had mine for a while now.
i have only been pinched once but that was because i was messing with him. and like Angel said. it doesnt really hurt. i was stupid and pulled. haha. my bad. but if you do get pinched. it is good to run warmish cold water over them and they will be more apt to let go.
