Well...from what I have read, you can have up to 6 (or so) crabs in a 10 gallon tank. My first tank was a 10 gallon one... now that I have acquired more crabs (no pun intended) I have a 30 gallon tank. I got it as a Christmas present from my husband. The reason I really like the 30 gallon tank is because I like to buy the crazy things for them to climb on and I have a basket just for their shells. I also like to take the time to decorate it inside. I am a little over the top I think. I currently have 7 crabs.

Joe, active crabs ARE nice! Mine tend to be more nocturnal and only want to play when I am sleeping.
